Job Summary:Our office in Seattle is looking for a
Mechanical Engineer to work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment with primary responsibility to engineer and design projects for Data Centers, Telecom, Federal/DoD, and other highly sophisticated facilities.
Responsibilities:- Develop HVAC system designs of a given project based on scope of work and/or client RFPs
- Provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems for a variety of market types
- Conduct existing building surveys and documentation of existing HVAC systems
- Perform Load/Energy calculations with a variety of software as dictated by Client standards.
- Write/edit project specifications
- Develop system design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildings
- Prepare detailed design documents, reports, and studies
- Complete code compliance research
- Collaborate with teammates from other design disciplines to deliver a well-coordinated project.
- Provide construction administration services
- Perform QA/QC of design work
Skills:- Proficiency in using engineering tools and software including Autodesk software (Revit, Navisworks)
- Flexibility and willingness to work on various projects and tasks, embracing new challenges with enthusiasm.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to drive projects forward. Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Desire to learn and grow.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Auto CAD, Revit, and MS Office
- Ability to travel
Qualifications:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2-5 years experience in Mechanical Engineering.
- Registration as EIT or PE preferred.
Location: Seattle, WA
Travel: Up to 25%
Compensation & Benefits: The expected base salary range for this role is $85,000 to $95,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
