Job Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Performance Engineer with strong expertise in Apache JMeter to lead performance testing initiatives for large-scale enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in performance engineering, with a strong background in designing and executing performance testing strategies, identifying system bottlenecks, and ensuring application scalability and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, and endurance testing using Apache JMeter.
• Create and maintain performance testing frameworks, scripts, and reusable test components.
• Analyze performance test results to identify bottlenecks, memory leaks, and scalability issues.
• Work closely with development, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams to optimize application performance.
• Conduct root cause analysis of performance issues and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Implement performance monitoring and tuning strategies across applications and infrastructure.
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing practices.
• Provide detailed performance reports, dashboards, and insights to stakeholders and leadership.
• Support capacity planning and performance benchmarking for production systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in Performance Engineering / Performance Testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache JMeter for designing and executing performance tests.
• Experience in performance testing of web applications, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies including load, stress, endurance, and spike testing.
• Experience with application performance monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, or similar.
• Strong understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
• Experience analyzing thread dumps, heap dumps, logs, and server metrics.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or similar.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Experience with other performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, Gatling, or BlazeMeter.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Exposure to containerized environments such as Docker and Kubernetes.
