A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Sr. Data Scientist.
Position type: Full-time, Contract
Duration: 12 months, possible extension
Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid)
About the Role:
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and deploy ML models (regression, classification, time-series) for operational use cases.
- Perform data preparation, feature engineering, and ensure data quality.
Required Qualifications:
- MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of experience in data science with operational analytics.
- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and ML libraries.
- Strong statistical foundation (probability, inference, regression, experimental design).
Preferred Qualification:
- PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or related quantitative.
- Electric Utility or Similar Industry Experience
- Experience with Azure Machine Learning for model development and deployment.
- Experience with optimization techniques (linear programming, mixed-integer optimization).

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $72.00 - $75.00 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
