- Role is highly coding-intensive, with approximately 80–90% of the work focused on software development.
Job Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Embedded Software Engineer to support a new project initiative. The role focuses on low-level embedded software development, system programming, testing, debugging, and embedded platform development.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and debug embedded software using C/C++.
- Develop low-level software components, boot processes, and system initialization modules.
- Work extensively in Linux-based embedded environments.
- Support embedded system bring-up, debugging, and system-level integration.
- Troubleshoot software defects and optimize system performance.
- Work with systems engineers and hardware teams during development and integration.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and software validation.
- Independently own and deliver assigned development tasks.
- Contribute to next-generation embedded platform design, implementation, and testing.
Must Have / Required Skills
- 9–10+ years of senior, hands-on Embedded Software Development experience.
- Strong C and C++ programming skills.
- Strong experience with Linux.
- Hands-on experience with Bootloaders, Boot Process, and Low-Level System Initialization.
- Strong understanding of Embedded Systems Architecture.
- Experience with software debugging, testing, and performance optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Automotive embedded software development experience.
- Experience with embedded platforms from Qualcomm, NVIDIA, Texas Instruments, NXP, Visteon, or similar organizations.
- Experience with Cisco, Arista, Juniper, or similar networking/embedded hardware companies.
- Embedded hardware bring-up and system-level debugging experience.
