Role Overview
This role serves as the security liaison between the AI Security organization and the platform teams responsible for evaluating and implementing AI gateway technologies. The individual will help ensure security requirements, guardrails, and operational considerations are incorporated into gateway selection and deployment efforts. The focus is on bridging security and engineering teams to define and operationalize security standards in a rapidly evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with platform and CTO teams to evaluate gateway technologies.
- Ensure security requirements are incorporated into gateway selection and deployment.
- Act as a liaison between security and engineering organizations.
- Help define gateway security requirements and implementation standards.
- Assist with deploying and operationalizing security controls.
- Evaluate gateway capabilities from a security and scalability perspective.
- Support the implementation of AI security guardrails.
- Develop and execute detective controls to identify risky or unmanaged identities.
- Perform credential and secrets scanning across AI environments.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of experience in securing Cloud Compute Platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and SaaS Applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on engineering experience building and scaling platforms, a strong troubleshooting background, and the ability to translate technical requirements across organizations.
Technical Skills: Candidates should have a strong background in areas such as API Gateway platforms, cloud platform engineering, cloud architecture, infrastructure engineering, or platform security. Familiarity with cloud IAM controls, SIEM pipelines, IGA processes, Terraform, and CIEM/CSPM usage is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI-specific gateways is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with API Gateway implementations such as AWS API Gateway, Apigee, or Kong.
- Background in multi-cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Rego/Cedar policy writing.
- Preferred certifications include CCSP and cloud platform certifications (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure).
- Exposure to AI infrastructure security or governance.
