We''re growing our data team and investing in a modern healthcare analytics platform built around Tuva, dbt, and Snowflake.

As we continue to expand our reporting and analytics capabilities, we''re looking for a Data Engineer who can help us build scalable data pipelines, improve data quality, and create a strong foundation for analytics across the organization.
 


What You''ll Do

  • Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines supporting the Tuva Data Model.
  • Work with healthcare data including claims, eligibility, provider, clinical, and revenue cycle data.
  • Transform and structure raw data into clean, reliable datasets for reporting and analytics.
  • Build and maintain data models using SQL and dbt.
  • Improve data quality through testing, validation, and monitoring processes.
  • Optimize Snowflake and other cloud-based data platforms.
  • Partner with teams across the business to understand reporting needs and deliver scalable data solutions.
  • Troubleshoot data issues and improve overall platform performance.
  • Document data models, transformation logic, and data flows.

What We''re Looking For

  • 4+ years of Data Engineering experience.
  • Strong healthcare data experience.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Experience with dbt.
  • Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Experience with Snowflake or a similar cloud data warehouse.
  • Experience working with healthcare data models.
  • Understanding of:
    • Medical Claims
    • Clinical Data
    • Revenue Cycle Data
    • Provider Data
    • Member Eligibility Data
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and figuring things out when there isn''t a perfect playbook.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with the Tuva Data Model.
  • Experience implementing healthcare data transformation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with FHIR and HL7.
  • Experience with Epic, Cerner, Athena, Meditech, ECW, or similar healthcare systems.
  • Experience with Airflow.
  • Python experience.
  • Exposure to Population Health, Value-Based Care, Risk Adjustment, or HEDIS reporting.
  • Healthcare analytics or consulting experience.
