Salary: $120,000.00 USD Annually - $140,000.00 USD Annually
Description: OverviewWe're looking for a hands-on Oracle DBA with deep Oracle EBS expertise to help drive the evolution of a next-generation data platform. This is not a traditional DBA role - the majority of your time will be spent on modernization initiatives including automation, platform engineering, and cloud-aligned architecture.

This is a hybrid role (Onsite 3days/week in Chicago's northern suburbs). Unfortunately, we're not a position to be able to provide sponsorship now or in the future.
What You'll Do- Lead design, build, and management of Oracle 19c and EBS 12.2.x environments
- Drive automation initiatives across database and platform operations (Python, Terraform, Ansible)
- Support upgrades, migrations, and modernization efforts across on-prem and cloud environments
- Manage WebLogic Server lifecycle (install, config, patching, upgrades)
- Own performance tuning, backup/recovery, patching, and system optimization
- Contribute to architecture discussions and influence platform roadmap
- Build tooling to monitor and scale large distributed systems
- Support a mix of project work (80%) and operational stability (20%)
Required Experience- 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience (hands-on, not managerial)
- Deep expertise with Oracle 19c (or newer) RAC on Linux/Unix
- Strong experience supporting Oracle EBS R12.2.x environments
- Proven WebLogic Server administration experience
- Strong Linux/Unix skills + shell scripting
- Experience building automation or monitoring tools for distributed systems
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
Nice to Have- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience
- Oracle Cloud apps (Fusion, EPM, OTM)
- Middleware stack (SOA Suite, ODI)
- Terraform / Ansible / Python
- Oracle certifications (OCP, OCI, WebLogic)
