Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Product Owner with a strong technical background in Business Intelligence to lead our BI product initiatives and bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams. This role will be responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering BI solutions that meet business needs. The ideal candidate will combine a deep understanding of BI technologies with product management skills to ensure successful implementation of analytics, reporting, and data visualization solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the BI development team.
- Define and maintain the product roadmap for BI solutions, aligning with business objectives.
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI Developers, and Analysts to design and implement dashboards, reports, and data models.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance standards are maintained in all BI solutions.
- Prioritize the backlog based on business value, technical feasibility, and resource availability.
- Drive continuous improvement in BI processes, tools, and practices.
- Monitor product performance, usage, and adoption metrics, making recommendations for enhancements.
- Stay updated on BI trends, tools, and best practices to recommend innovative solutions.
Required Skills
- Experience: 8 years Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a BI/data analytics environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including:
- Data modeling using star/snowflake schemas
- DAX measures, calculated columns, and tables
- Optimizing report performance and dataset design
- Experience with data modeling, SQL, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and backlog management.
- Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance requirements in BI solutions.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud BI platforms (DataBricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake). (Preferred)
