Description
Join our team as a Staff Data Engineer in a hybrid role based in Madison, WI. 
This full-time position involves designing and implementing data solutions, collaborating closely with business stakeholders, and leveraging modern data technologies to drive impactful results. The role requires expertise in data engineering, solution architecture, and stakeholder engagement.
Develop and maintain data solutions utilizing a modern data platform.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Ensure data products are documented, discoverable, and supportable throughout their lifecycle.
Design data products for machine learning and AI consumption with a focus on quality and reproducibility.
Diagnose and resolve complex data quality issues, ensuring long-term solutions.
Evaluate and recommend tools and patterns to optimize data processes.
Lead technical initiatives and mentor team members to enhance technical quality.

Key Responsibilities
Own technical design and delivery for complex data products.
Engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements and shape solutions.
Lead design and code reviews to ensure quality and consistency.
Mentor engineers and support their growth in data engineering.
Ensure solutions meet reliability, scalability, and compliance standards.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
8 years of experience in data engineering or a related discipline.
Proficiency in SQL and Python for data modeling and processing.
Experience with distributed data systems and cloud infrastructure.
Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
