We are seeking a software engineer to support the design, development, testing, and deployment of technology solutions for Deloitte's Government and Public Services practice. In this role, you will work with project teams to build and maintain applications, support delivery milestones, and contribute to client-focused outcomes. - Supporting the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications and system enhancements
- Writing, debugging, and maintaining code using approved programming languages, frameworks, and development tools
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, document technical solutions, and support delivery activities
- Participating in code reviews, unit testing, defect resolution, and release preparation activities
- Monitoring application performance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement efforts

Serving federal, state, and local government clients, as well as public higher education institutions, the team helps organizations anticipate disruption, rethink what is possible, and advance their mission.
Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Mathematics
- 1+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, or software testing
- 1+ years of experience with at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#
- 1+ years of experience using Git, Agile delivery methods, or continuous integration and continuous deployment tools
- 1+ years of experience working with SQL, relational databases, or application programming interfaces
- Ability to travel 0-20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Preferred: - Experience supporting government, public sector, or higher education technology projects
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience developing or consuming REST application programming interfaces
- Experience with automated testing tools and test case execution
- Experience with DevOps tools used for build, release, and deployment activities
- Experience preparing technical documentation, system documentation, or user stories
