We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Technician who brings deep technical expertise, a passion for customer service, and the ability to deliver white-glove executive support in a fast-paced enterprise environment. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong leadership qualities, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to mentor junior technicians.
This is a contract position worked fully onsite in Tyler, TX.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing hands-on support for personal computers, laptops, peripherals, and enterprise collaboration tools. You will perform installations, repairs, preventative maintenance, and diagnose both hardware and software issues. You’ll also participate in process creation, lead project efforts, and assist in resolving network-related issues tied to end-user devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver white-glove, executive-level IT support with professionalism, urgency, and attention to detail.
- Install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on PCs, laptops, and related peripherals.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, resolving failures quickly and thoroughly.
- Support enterprise environments, including Office 365, Microsoft Teams, and common productivity tools.
- Identify and escalate network-related issues as they pertain to personal computing devices.
- Support and troubleshoot video teleconferencing systems (e.g., Cisco WebEx).
- Provide technical training and guidance to end users and junior technicians.
- Lead or contribute to local IT projects and assist with the creation of operational processes.
- Maintain documentation and support knowledge-sharing across the team.
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years providing white-glove executive support.
- 5+ years of end-user support experience.
- 5+ years supporting personal computer hardware and performing routine software installation.
- 5+ years troubleshooting IT hardware and peripherals in an enterprise environment.
- 5+ years supporting Microsoft productivity tools, including Office 365 and Microsoft Teams.
- 4+ years supporting video teleconferencing solutions such as Cisco WebEx.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware and software with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years creating technical knowledge articles or documentation.
- 4+ years working with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
- Experience supporting operations in a multi-vendor enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members and drive local leadership initiatives.
