About the Associate for Web Development
Manhattan Strategies is seeking an Associate for Web Development to support the design, build and ongoing optimization of client and internal websites, with a focus on quality execution.
This role is intended for a technically curious, detail-oriented developer who is comfortable working in a fast-moving, client-driven environment. The Associate for Web Development will collaborate closely with designers, strategists and senior developers to translate visual and strategic concepts into functional and scalable web experiences.
Manhattan Strategies develops primarily on Webflow.
The Associate for Web Development serves three core functions:
- Website Development (65%): Assist in building websites for desktop, mobile and tablet using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and content management systems; experience with Webflow is a plus.
- Website Maintenance and Troubleshooting (25%): Maintain and update existing codebases, following established coding standards and best practices, conduct website and application testing to ensure functionality, performance, and security, create and maintain documentation for code, processes, and technical implementations.
- User Experience (UX) Collaboration (10%): Work closely with designers, content creators, and other developers to implement and improve web solutions, optimize website structure and content for search engines (SEO), and collaborate to improve website usability and accessibility.
Qualifications:
- Excellent knowledge of modern responsiveness in JavaScript, CSS, HTML. Experience with JQuery/Vanilla JS a plus
- 2-4 years of using one or more content management systems (WordPress, Webflow, etc.)
- Strong understanding of technical SEO best practices and site speed optimization
- Hands-on experience with web analytics tools, including, Google Analytics, Search Console, Bing Webmaster, and Hotjar
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail with excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment, and is adaptable to changing priorities
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in computer science, engineering, web development, or related discipline/bootcamp and equivalent experience
Benefits & Compensation:
- Base salary range is $55,000 to $68,000 per year
- Total compensation range is $57,000 to $74,000 per year, which includes quarterly bonus eligibility, profit share and 401(k) employer match
