Overview
We are staffing multiple Data Center Cable Technicians to support a major infrastructure buildout in Manassas, VA. Our team holds an exclusive contract to construct the cable infrastructure for a large-scale data center environment. These roles offer the opportunity to work on high-volume IT cabling, fiber installation, and data center build activities within a fast-paced and technically advanced setting. We are hiring both Level I and Level II Technicians.
Position Summary
Technicians in this role will assist senior technicians and team leads with various aspects of data center infrastructure construction. Work includes pulling and terminating cable, installing pathways and trays, assembling server racks, and assisting with electronic security installations. Ideal candidates are hands-on, safety-focused, and comfortable working in large structured cabling environments.
Role Responsibilities
Technicians in this position will be responsible for supporting the installation of structured cabling and related data center infrastructure. This includes assisting with the running, terminating, and installation of Category cabling, coaxial cable, and fiber optics. They will support grounding work for server racks and equipment, particularly within a heavy Cisco environment. Additional responsibilities include performing fire-stopping procedures, installing sleeves, terminating low-voltage devices and IT hardware, and following blueprints with precision to ensure accurate completion of tasks.
Technicians will also be expected to complete all required documentation such as timesheets, material transfers, work orders, and tool transfers. Adherence to all company, customer, and industry safety and quality standards is essential. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support project objectives.
Qualifications
- Experience with structured cabling, fiber, or low-voltage installation is preferred
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and construction documents
- Familiarity with tools and materials used in low-voltage cable installation
- Ability to lift, pull, and maneuver cable and equipment in a data center environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manassas, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $27.00/hr.
