Traveling IT Technician

Introduction:

The Traveling IT Technician position involves extensive travel, with responsibilities that include assessing and remediating existing infrastructure, installing and customizing clients' systems, collaborating with internal teams and customers, and providing technical support. The role requires a strong focus on customer satisfaction and ensuring successful implementation of solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and remediate existing infrastructure to support installation of new solutions
• Install, monitor, and customize clients' systems after initial hardware or software purchase
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to implement solutions
• Consult on customer requirements for installation and address cybersecurity concerns
• Maintain customer relationships, ensure resolution of issues, and promote ongoing satisfaction
• Mentor and coach local field engineers on installed solutions

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• 3-5 years of IT experience
• 1-3 years of experience in installing and configuring network equipment
• Certified in CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or CCWA is a plus
• Bachelor's or associate's degree in IT or equivalent experience
• Experience with networking infrastructure and disaster recovery procedures
• Knowledge of security and networking best practices
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Comfortable working in a healthcare setting

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the healthcare industry
• Experience implementing disaster recovery procedures
• Experience with CompTIA, customer satisfaction, computer networking, computer hardware
