Job DescriptionTargetDesign and develop mechanical solutions for automation projects on production lines, ensuring the correct integration of cobots, grippers, structures, input material, output material and tooling, aligned with Bosch's safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.
Main Responsibilities- Design grippers, tooling, and mechanical structures for automation applications on production lines.
- Develop 3D models and technical drawings for manufacturing and assembly.
- Participate in the conceptualization of mechanical solutions for the integration of cobots into production processes.
- Collaborate with controls engineers, manufacturing, quality, and safety teams to ensure integrated solutions.
- Perform design validations considering ergonomics, safety, tolerances, materials, and costs.
- Quote, purchase, receive and validate mechanical components for the projects.
- Provide technical support during project implementation, commissioning, and ramp-up.
- Ensure designs comply with internal Bosch standards, safety regulations, and good manufacturing practices.
- Deliver technical documentation and user guides
- Document lessons learned and apply for new projects
QualificationsKnowledge and Experience- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in mechanical design for industrial automation or production lines.
- Proficiency in CAD software (preferably SolidWorks).
- Knowledge in the design of tooling, grippers, metal structures, or other mechanical components.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work on multidisciplinary projects, targeting a common goal.
Desirable- Previous experience in automation or robotics projects (not necessarily cobots).
- Knowledge of industrial safety regulations.
- Experience in automotive production plants.
