Job DetailsLocation: Dallas, TX (Hybrid or in-office, depending on project needs)
Experience Level: 3+ years
Licensure: EIT required; PE preferred or on track
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems for commercial building projects, including power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
- Develop and produce construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD in coordination with other disciplines.
- Perform load calculations, short circuit studies, and basic system sizing.
- Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and structural teams to ensure integrated designs.
- Assist with code analysis and ensure compliance with NEC, local, and state codes.
- Support construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and site visits.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to meet project schedules and budgets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience designing electrical systems for commercial projects.
- EIT certification required; PE license preferred (or actively pursuing).
- Proficiency in Revit; experience working in a BIM environment is essential.
- Solid understanding of NEC and commercial building systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
