Title: Strategic Partnerships and Planning Manager

This role supports activities within the Strategic Partnerships and Planning function, including budgeting and resource utilization, partnership oversight, and PV project support. Specifically, the role manages assigned strategic PV partnerships to ensure compliance with established governance models and contractual obligations, proactively escalating successes, noncompliance, performance issues, or disputes to enable informed decision making. The role also supports partner financial forecasting, invoice review, issue resolution, and the development, review, and execution of contract amendments. In addition, it supports PV projects and initiatives by enabling effective planning, coordination, progress tracking, and risk escalation in alignment with existing governance frameworks. The role may also support forecasting, analyses, and reporting on functional and project specific budgets, associated expenses, and other financial benchmarking activities. compliance, performance issues, or disputes to enable informed decision making. Accountabilities
Strategic Partnerships
- Guides UCB and Partner compliance with the governance model. Ensures that successes, non-adherence to contract, failures or disputes are identified, rectified and escalated appropriately
for attention, appreciation or decision making.
- Contributes to the development of governance meeting agendas, facilitation of governance meetings and confirms partners provide adequate governance meeting summaries.
- Confirms partners provide services as contracted and that meet UCB expectations. Identify potential risks and non-conformance and partner with the UCB and partner to mitigate and/or resolve. Interacts with the partners' project leads to gain insight and address needs and issues as they arise.
- Reviews partner invoices against contract and validates work was completed as expected with the UCB Subject Matter Experts. Tracks expenses against annual budgets. Supports contract and purchase order development and amendments as needed.
Pharmacovigilance Projects Portfolio
- Tracks and reports project progress and resourcing.
- Contributes to the development of governance meeting agendas, facilitation of meetings and drafts meeting summaries.
- Supports the development and/or refinement of systems and processes.
Budget Development and Management
- Contributes to the development, analysis and reporting of budgets, including departmental workforce (FTEs, temporary labor), projects, partnerships and other areas as needed
- Helps calculate and maintains financial metrics
Other
- May support departmental implementation of a new company-wide contracts management system
- May supports the development and collection of content for internal communication channels, such as newsletters
Experience
Bachelors
- + 2 year experience in a biopharma or pharmaceutical role or experience working at Contract Research Organization (CRO) with experience engaging with biopharma or pharmaceutical companies preferred
- Pharmacovigilance experience preferred
- + 2 years experience in a (CRO) proposals, contracting, project management and/or relationship/partnership mangement role
