Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Java Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, AWS, containers, and microservices and a proven ability to design, build, containerize, and modernize backend services with autonomy.
Responsibilities:
- Design application code and implement technical solutions across environments to address business needs.
- Write backend services and applications to solve analytical and transactional problems.
- Execute all phases of software engineering, including requirements analysis, design, development, and testing.
- Design and implement product features, reusable components, frameworks, and libraries in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
- Partner with strategic customers to containerize applications, leveraging containerization methodologies and best practices.
- Develop and document best practices for containerizing and modernizing diverse application platforms.
- Code, test, release, and support backend services and data integrations.
- Design software solutions to solve complex engineering problems.
- Automate build, test, and deployment processes for scalable, reliable delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Technical degree or equivalent related work experience.
- Proficiency in Java with strong experience in Spring and Spring Boot.
- Hands-on knowledge of infrastructure-focused applications and platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices.
- Experience building and supporting services on AWS.
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver high-quality solutions end to end.
- Knowledge of Backbase APIs.
Preferred Skills:
- Background in banking, money transfer, or payments.
- Experience working with Agile teams and CI/CD pipelines.
