Role: Senior IT DevSecOps Architect

Location: Washington, DC (100% Onsite, 5 Days/Week)

Job Summary

Seeking a Senior IT DevSecOps Architect with strong AWS cloud architecture and DevSecOps expertise. The ideal candidate will lead cloud modernization initiatives, build secure CI/CD pipelines, implement Infrastructure as Code, and support containerized applications in highly secure environments.

Must Have Skills

7+ years of DevOps / DevSecOps / Cloud Infrastructure experience

Strong AWS architecture and administration experience

Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)

CI/CD pipeline design and implementation

Python and/or Bash scripting

Docker and Kubernetes experience

Amazon ECS experience

Git version control

AWS CloudWatch and/or Grafana

IAM (Identity & Access Management)

Cloud networking knowledge

Security-focused cloud architecture experience

Preferred Skills

Splunk administration or monitoring

Federal/Government project experience

NIST 800-53 knowledge

FISMA compliance experience

Microservices and cloud-native architecture

Security automation / Compliance-as-Code

Preferred Certifications

AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional

Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Docker Certification

HashiCorp Terraform Associate

GitLab CI/CD or Security Certifications

Key Responsibilities

Design secure and scalable AWS cloud environments

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines

Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform

Support Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS deployments

Integrate security controls throughout SDLC

Automate cloud infrastructure and operational processes

Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions

Collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams

Drive cloud modernization and DevSecOps best practices
