You will play a critical role in developing and enhancing automated routing, network optimization, and Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) planning solutions that drive strategic network expansion decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and optimize geospatial routing and network planning models for fiber network deployment.
  • Modernize and consolidate legacy planning applications into a scalable, high-performance modeling platform.
  • Execute large-scale FDH (Feeder Distribution Hub) and FTTH network modeling using graph algorithms such as Dijkstra, Kruskal, and other network optimization techniques.
  • Develop and enhance spatial graph processing and routing engines.
  • Process and analyze large geospatial datasets, including Shapefiles, GeoJSON, and other GIS data formats.
  • Integrate spatial data sources such as OpenStreetMap, enterprise address databases, and location repositories into automated ETL workflows.
  • Manage and optimize cloud-based relational and analytical databases.
  • Improve database performance through query tuning, index optimization, and automated maintenance processes.
  • Build and maintain automated data pipelines using Python and Apache Airflow.
  • Implement monitoring, self-healing processes, and role-based access controls across data platforms.
  • Design secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions across AWS and Google Cloud Platform cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with Network Planning, Engineering, Operations, Analytics, and AI teams to deliver data-driven solutions.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Science, GIS, Software Engineering, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Data Engineering, Geospatial Analytics, or related disciplines.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Experience with web frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
  • Deep expertise in geospatial technologies including:
    • PostGIS
    • ArcGIS / ESRI
    • QGIS
    • Spatial SQL
    • GeoJSON and Shapefiles
  • Experience with database technologies including:

    • Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Storage)
  • Experience developing and optimizing large-scale data pipelines and analytics platforms.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Telecommunications or broadband industry experience.
  • Experience with FTTH, FWA, fiber network planning, or OSP engineering.
  • Strong understanding of graph theory, network optimization, and routing algorithms.
  • Experience improving cloud performance, reducing infrastructure costs, and optimizing large-scale database environments.
  • Exposure to network topology modeling and geospatial decision-support systems.

Key Competencies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven technical leadership and ownership mindset.
  • Ability to manage complex projects from concept through deployment.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, data-driven environments.
