Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform Data Architect with strong retail domain expertise to design and implement scalable cloud-based data platforms on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, GCS, and modern data lake/data warehouse architectures.
The role involves building enterprise data pipelines, modernizing legacy platforms, enabling real-time analytics, and supporting retail business functions such as customer analytics, supply chain, inventory, merchandising, eCommerce, and omnichannel reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design scalable data architectures on Google Cloud Platform for retail analytics and reporting
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Airflow
- Lead Hadoop/on-prem to Google Cloud Platform cloud migration initiatives
- Enable real-time and batch data processing solutions
- Collaborate with business, analytics, and engineering teams for data-driven solutions
- Implement data governance, security, and performance optimization best practices
