AI Engineer
Introduction:
An AI Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing AI-powered features within a product. This role involves owning the end-to-end lifecycle of AI features, implementing AI systems, building agent-based workflows, conducting experimentation and evaluation, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring AI reliability, safety, and governance.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement AI-powered features such as LLM workflows, copilots, and agent-based systems with multi-step reasoning.
- Own the full lifecycle of AI features from prototyping to production deployment and iteration.
- Build and optimize prompt pipelines for specific use cases.
- Implement RAG-based workflows as needed.
- Design scalable and cost-efficient AI architectures for production workloads.
- Run structured experiments to compare different AI approaches.
- Drive technical direction and influence AI adoption across teams.
- Design guardrails to ensure safe and reliable AI behavior.
