Job Title: Power Platform Developer
Job Description
Join a major American energy company dedicated to providing reliable and sustainable energy solutions. As a Power Platform Developer, you will design and implement innovative solutions to complex problems. Your role involves creating hybrid machine learning and rule-based applications, automations, and data visualizations that transform processes and systems, ultimately improving business accuracy, speed, consistency, and reliability.
Responsibilities
  • Design, build, configure, test, deploy, and maintain solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Develop reusable components, scripts, and frameworks to automate manual administrative processes.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to lead stakeholders in identifying opportunities by analyzing business problems, processes, and data.
  • Document technical designs, release notes, and other project documentation.
  • Create Power BI reports using DAX or M, integrating multiple data sources.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, customers, and third-parties during product development and QA.
  • Deploy projects successfully and address issues that arise in day-to-day support.
  • Develop standards and best practices for solutions within the Power Platform.
  • Collect and interpret data, analyze results, and report findings.
  • Stay updated on tech trends, experiment with new technologies, and mentor community members.
  • Estimate projects based on scope and level of effort, providing timely communication of progress.
  • Create Virtual Agents for task assistance and scalability.
  • Perform other work as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in Power Platform Development including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, and Power Virtual Agents.
  • Strong analytical skills to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience in creating integrated Power BI reports using DAX/M.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, Engineering, or related fields or equivalent experience.
  • At least four years of related experience as a software engineer or developer.
  • Hands-on experience with the Power Platform or similar low-code/no-code platforms.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Programming experience in .Net, C#, Visual Basic, Python, R, etc., especially in automation and integration projects.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI or similar applications.
  • Familiarity with APIs, command line, client-server architecture, networks, and (S)FTP.
  • Background in machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts.
  • Ability to understand business process workflow diagrams.

Work Environment
This role is based at the Missouri HQ and involves both office and field environments. Travel is required to support field personnel, and additional overnight travel may be necessary. Expect to work additional hours including evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $73.33/hr.
