OverviewSeeking a Mid-Level Python Developer to support and enhance Python-based financial software used by Quants and Investment teams. This role focuses on scalable analytics, data workflows, and performance optimization supporting portfolio construction and tax-aware SMA strategies.
- Build and enhance Python backend systems for quantitative models and SMA platforms
- Develop reusable, scalable components
- Optimize data pipelines and analytics for performance
- Collaborate with Quant teams, engineering leads, and infrastructure on Azure-based deployments
Required Skills- Strong Python backend experience
- Pandas, NumPy (SciPy a plus)
- Object-oriented design and design patterns
- SQL experience (Oracle, SQL Server)
- REST APIs, microservices
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS acceptable)
Nice-to-Have- Finance or investment domain exposure
- Parallel processing and scaling experience
- Messaging systems (queues, Event Hub)
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Nashville, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70.00 - $78.00/hr.
