Job Summary
Seeking a strong Scala Developer with hands-on experience in Kafka, microservices, containerization, and endpoint deployments. The ideal candidate should have experience developing or refactoring Scala applications and building scalable distributed systems.
Scala Developer specs:
Develop and maintain Scala applications, including new development and legacy application refactoring.
Build REST/gRPC APIs, microservices, and distributed systems using Scala.
Work with Akka, Play, or ZIO for concurrency and asynchronous processing.
Design robust, maintainable applications using type-safe and immutable data structures.
Integrate Scala applications with Kafka/message brokers, SQL/NoSQL databases, and cloud platforms.
Optimize JVM/Scala application performance, including memory usage, concurrency, and multithreading.
Containerize applications using Docker and deploy through Kubernetes/container platforms.
Perform endpoint deployments and support CI/CD pipelines.
Implement automated builds, deployments, monitoring, and production support.
Modernize legacy Java applications by integrating Scala modules while leveraging JVM interoperability.
Strong hands-on Scala development
Kafka experience
Experience developing or refactoring Scala applications
REST APIs / gRPC
Microservices and distributed systems
Docker / Kubernetes
CI/CD and containerized deployments
Endpoint/application deployment experience
JVM/Scala performance tuning
