The Director, Revenue Cycle Automation, is a strategic leader responsible for optimizing and innovating automation across the revenue cycle. This role drives design, planning, and operationalization of Epic-based solutions for front, middle, and back-end workflows. Partners across departments including IT, Finance, HR, and clinical operations to advance process improvement, governance, and operational excellence. Accountable for transformation strategy, execution, and reporting, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and positioning HonorHealth as a leader in revenue cycle performance. Additionally, this role champions emerging technologies such as RPA and AI, oversees vendor governance, and ensures compliance with CMS, HIPAA, and payer standards while delivering measurable financial and operational outcomes.
Essential Functions:
- Serves as the revenue cycle expert in Epic-based solutions across front, middle, and back-end workflows; defines and executes automation strategy.
- Leads adoption processes, change management, and communication across impacted departments and sites; ensures staff readiness and engagement.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to redesign workflows, integrate governance standards, and maintain compliance with CMS, HIPAA, and payer requirements.
- Oversee vendor relationships and technology assessments; establishes governance standards and evaluates ROI for automation and Epic-related solutions.
- Monitors KPIs for cost savings, operational efficiency, and compliance; implements dashboards and analytics for continuous improvement; prepares executive-level reports.
- Develops and maintains a strategic roadmap for automation initiatives aligned with enterprise transformation goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in healthcare administration, Business IT, or related field Required
- Master s degree - Preferred
- 8+ years revenue cycle leadership in integrated health system using Epic Required
- 3+ years patient access management in acute care Required
- Epic certification in at least one revenue cycle application Required
