Lead Agilist III

Location: Farmington Hills, Michigan (Onsite)

Role Overview

The Lead Agile Coach / Scrum Master is responsible for guiding one or more Agile teams in the effective adoption and application of Agile values, principles, and Scrum practices. This role serves as a servant leader, coach, facilitator, and mentor, helping teams improve collaboration, self-organization, continuous improvement, and delivery of business value. This individual uses coaching and facilitation to identify opportunities for improvement and support teams in overcoming challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach and support Agile teams in the adoption and application of Agile values, principles, and Scrum practices.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
  • Partner with Product Owners and delivery teams to improve Product Backlog management and prioritization.
  • Facilitate communication, collaboration, and alignment across teams and stakeholders.
  • Leverage metrics, observations, and team feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Promote proactive identification, discussion, and management of risks and dependencies.
  • Support adoption of modern engineering and DevOps practices.
  • Guide teams in identifying and resolving impediments while encouraging ownership of solutions.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of professional business experience, with at least 5+ years of Scrum Master experience.
  • Experience and exposure to AI being embedded in solutions.
  • Experience working with Information Security Teams.
  • Proven ability to remove blockers from a team and identify and remove organizational barriers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience facilitating, teaching, mentoring, and presenting to audiences at multiple organizational levels.
  • Active engagement in the agile communities for continual learning.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Agile certifications are preferred but not required if experience is demonstrated.
  • Deep understanding of Scrum principles, events, roles, and artifacts.
  • Familiarity with Kanban, Scrumban, XP, and other Agile approaches.
  • Working knowledge of Agile engineering and DevOps practices, including CI/CD and automated testing.
