Position Overview:
As a dynamic Technical Engineer specializing in Informatica solutions, you will take on the role of an indispensable contributor to our project team. Your key mission is to harness your deep technical prowess to design, implement, and sustain sophisticated engineering solutions. You will collaborate with various interdisciplinary teams to crystallize their requirements into actionable technical guidance while ensuring robust system integration and relentless problem-solving to affirm system dependability.
Experience:
Minimum 7 years of seasoned experience with Informatica platforms.
Core Duties:
Solution Engineering:
- Design advanced ETL workflows and mappings via Informatica PowerCenter, ensuring alignment with intricate engineering needs.
- Engage with data experts and analysts to transform business needs into viable technical designs.
Data Unification:
- Seamlessly amalgamate diverse data sources, encompassing both terrestrial and cloud environments.
- Engineer and refine components to bolster ETL process efficiency, aiming for scalability and optimized data integrity.
Quality Assurance and Refinement:
- Conceive and administer tests at multiple levels (unit, integration, system) for ETL workflows.
- Tackle performance bottlenecks, resolve operational failures, and swiftly address data discrepancies.
Documentation Oversight:
- Craft and maintain detailed technical manuals detailing code iterations, data transactional flow, and process blueprints.
- Persistently uphold existing ETL operations, facilitating data transitions, and improvements.
Interdisciplinary Synergy:
- Forge robust connections with database experts, quality analysts, and strategic stakeholders to actualize project objectives.
- Actively participate in constructive peer reviews, enhancing coding standards and uniformity.
Minimum Qualifications:
Academic Credentials:
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a cognate discipline.
Technical Proficiencies:
- 3 or more years in a focused capacity with Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
- Profound ability in SQL coupled with in-depth knowledge of database systems like Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.
- Proficiency in boosting ETL process performance and job efficiency.
- Well-versed in data warehouse design principles, multidimensional structuring, and data management protocols.
- A foundational grasp on job orchestration mechanisms (e.g., Control-M, Autosys) and elementary Unix/Linux scripts.
Interpersonal Expertise:
- Demonstrated capacity for effective problem resolution and analytical exploration.
- Aptitude for both autonomous work and collaborative project execution.
- Exceptional command of communication, both written and verbal.
Preferred Attributes:
- Background in integrating or transitioning solutions to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Exposure to big data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark) and alternative data integration technologies.
- Recognition via Informatica certifications or equivalent coursework.
- Experience contributing to Agile/Scrum project methodologies.
