We are seeking a senior Android developer with expertise in application development using Kotlin. This role involves designing, developing, and prototyping customer-facing Android applications for both phone and tablet devices. The ideal candidate will participate in the full application lifecycle, from development and testing to release and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and prototype Android customer applications for mobile phones and tablets.
- Participate in the full application lifecycle, including developing automation scripts, testing, and releasing to the app store.
- Collaborate with product teams on new product ideas, designs, prototypes, and estimates.
- Ensure the quality and performance of the application meet specifications.
- Identify and resolve application bottlenecks and fix bugs before final release.
- Write and maintain documentation for all features in development.
- Maintain the code and atomization of the application.
- Keep up-to-date on current and upcoming features in relevant products and platforms.
- Drive a best-practices approach to the continuous improvement of products, processes, and tools.
Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering is required.
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in Android platform development using Kotlin and/or Java is required.
Technical Skills:- Proficiency in Kotlin, Core Java, Web Services, and REST Services.
- Experience with code versioning tools such as Git and Bitbucket.
- Familiarity with biometrics, push notifications, and the use of Camera APIs.
- Knowledge of C-based libraries is necessary.
- Proficiency in CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and XML.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with mobile test automation using Appium for Android and iOS platforms.
- Experience with continuous integration and unit tests.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong focus on troubleshooting and issue resolution.
