Job Description:

Title: Systems Engineer

Location: Bossier City, LA

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 10 hours a day (40 hr week) Hours can be flexible; can come in earlier and can get off earlier, but must be onsite during core hours (8-5)

Type: 6-month contract to hire w/ client

Pay: $33-43/hr then $64-80k conversion w/ client

Deliver simple solutions to complex problems as a Systems Engineer at our large government client supporting the Air Force. Here, you'll tailor cutting-edge solutions to the unique requirements of our clients.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science, additional years of experience in lieu of degree can be considered.
  • Required Experience: 2+ years of related experience in Systems Engineering
  • Required Technical Skills: Red Hat, Linux and Solaris (a plus)
  • Security Clearance Level: Secret
  • Security+ CE certification/DoD 8140 compliant
  • Location: On site in Bossier City, LA


HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
  • Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems
  • Contributes to completion of milestones associated with specific engineering projects.
  • Performs systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end.
  • Provide technical direction for development, engineering, interfacing, integration and testing of complex hardware/software systems, including requirements elicitation and analysis & functional allocation
  • Oversight of moderately complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
  • Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
  • Performs continual maintenance of security, including backup and redundancy strategies.
  • Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects.
  • Conduct system requirements reviews
  • Develop Systems architectures
