A. Operational Leadership

  • Oversee end-to-end base operations including workshop, yard, stores, and logistics.

  • Monitor operational KPIs including turnaround time (TAT), downtime, and utilization.

  • Align base activities with business forecasts and client requirements.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiency.

B. Financial & Cost Control

  • Manage base operating budget and control expenses.

  • Monitor consumables, and repair expenses.

  • Optimize asset utilization and reduce idle inventory.

  • Review vendor contracts and approve procurement within authority limits.

  • Ensure cost recovery mechanisms are in place (where applicable).

C. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with applicable statutory requirements including:

    • Factories Act, 1948 (if applicable)

    • State Shops & Establishments Act

    • Labour Laws (ESI, EPF, Bonus, Gratuity, CLRA where applicable)

  • Ensure statutory registers, inspections, and audit documentation are maintained.

  • Lead internal and external audits.

  • Ensure strict adherence to company Code of Conduct and internal policies.

D. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Ensure implementation of HSE standards across the base.

  • Maintain zero tolerance for unsafe practices.

  • Monitor incident trends and implement preventive controls.

  • Conduct periodic safety reviews and management walkthroughs.

  • Ensure regulatory reporting requirements are met.

E. Asset & Infrastructure Management

  • Ensure proper maintenance of infrastructure and workshop equipment.

  • Monitor asset lifecycle, refurbishment, and capital expenditure needs.

  • Ensure accurate inventory control and reconciliation.

  • Oversee facility maintenance, utilities, and security management.

F. Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Submit periodic performance reports to regional management.

  • Coordinate with Finance, HR, Procurement, and Operations teams.

  • Support client visits and compliance audits.

  • Escalate operational risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

  • Bachelor?s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

  • 12?18 years of experience in operations/workshop management.

  • Minimum 5 years in leadership role.

  • Experience in Oil & Gas / Heavy Equipment / Industrial Services preferred.

  • Strong understanding of statutory compliance and industrial relations.
