IMMEDIATE NEW JOB OPENING for a Data Analyst to work on-site at our client s headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas. This role will be assisting the Director of Process Improvement by pulling up documents, gathering, and reviewing data. You will be working heavily in MS Excel reviewing spreadsheets with 300,000+ rows. This is a sales tax invoice review project to prepare for an upcoming company audit. Ideally this individual will find any tax discrepancies and correct the errors. If you are unable to correct independently, you will save your work and make a note for your manager to review. Additionally, this role will document guidance for our users and develop targeted training and reference materials. Initially, the individual will focus on reviewing as many vendors as possible to determine whether sales tax is being charged appropriately on invoices. The second phase will involve assisting with research and categorizing sales tax treatment and guidelines by state. The training and reference development phase is not yet fully defined and will evolve as our research progresses.

Required Skills:

2+ years Data Analysis
Strong proficiency in Excel and Word
Excellent communication
Ability to review and locate any tax errors and logically correct errors
Must work well independently
Sales tax experience huge plus but not required
Experience filing sales tax reports huge plus but not required

Strong attention to detail
Patience, as the initial phase will involve repetitive review work
Flexibility, as project scope may evolve as documentation and training materials are developed
Ability to conduct research (Google, ChatGPT, etc.) to support taxability determinations
Capability to analyze findings and assist in developing targeted training and reference tools
Familiarity with Microsoft Teams for meetings and collaboration
