Assign management and SPAN ports, IP addresses, and tap links.
Configure port mirroring and validate packet captures.
Assist with network device configuration, monitoring, and threshold alerting.
Support implementation of NetScout Infinistream and related network monitoring tools.
Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize network visibility and performance.
Participate in on-site maintenance windows as required.
Minimum 12 years of professional networking experience.
Strong hands-on expertise in routing protocols such as BGP, MPLS, and OSPF.
Proven experience with deep packet inspection (DPI) and NetScout Infinistream implementations.
Ability to work in a hybrid model with on-site work in NYC.
Expert-level proficiency with nGeniusONE (dashboards, monitors, alerts).
Experience with advanced routing protocols (EIGRP, IS-IS, iBGP, eBGP).
Familiarity with management protocols (SNMPv3, Syslog, NetFlow).
Advanced packet-level troubleshooting and application flow decoding (HTTP/S, SQL, DNS, VoIP/SIP).
Strong analytical and network design skills (MS Visio preferred).
Prior experience supporting NYC government network environments is a plus.
On-site presence may be required for maintenance or project windows.
Travel is limited to client locations within the five boroughs of NYC.
Travel expenses are not reimbursed.
