SAP Deployment Project Manager

Duration:6 months to start

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana- onsite (with some flexibility to work remote if needed)

This person will be the SAP Program Manager for UBE and the liaison between UBE and Accenture. This is UBE's first US office (based out of Japan) and they hired Accenture to complete their S4HANA transformation

This will be reporting to the CEO Must have experience with SAP4HANA, Hexagon, SDX, Aviva Pi, and software development cycle.

Owner's representative for UBE's SAP S4 Hana, Hexagon SDX, and Aviva Pi deployment in New Orleans, acting as the liaison between UBE and Accenture, with the role focused on coordination, communication, and ensuring project objectives are met.

Role Responsibilities and Scope: The project manager will act as the owner's representative for UBE, interfacing between UBE's internal resources, Cornerstone Kemco, and Accenture, with the primary responsibility of managing the deployment of SAP S4 Hana, Hexagon SDX, and Aviva Pi systems. The role is not focused on desktop support or general IT management, but rather on project leadership, coordination, and ensuring effective communication between all parties.

Required Skills and Experience: The ideal candidate should have strong project management experience, particularly in software deployments, and familiarity with SAP rollouts, but does not need to be a subject matter expert in SAP modules. Interpersonal and communication skills are emphasized, as well as the ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment and to translate technical requirements between Accenture and UBE.

Location and Work Arrangement: the position is based in New Orleans, with a preference for candidates who can work primarily on-site to facilitate collaboration with the local UBE team, though some remote work may be possible. The team agreed that being in-market is essential, but discussed the possibility of alternative arrangements, such as periodic travel, if a suitable local candidate cannot be found.

Project Timeline and Contract Terms: the initial contract duration is six months, starting as soon as possible, with the first deployment wave scheduled for April and a second wave in July. There is an option to extend the contract based on project needs.

Reporting Structure and Stakeholders:the project manager may report directly to the CEO, the IT manager, or a consultant acting as the IT lead, but the reporting line is not yet fully defined. The role requires agility and the ability to operate in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
