Summary

Overview

The Senior Business Architect, within the Technology organization, bridges the gap between strategy and execution by designing and evolving business capability, process, and value stream frameworks that enable organizational goals. This role operates independently to translate strategic objectives into actionable capability maps, roadmaps, and architecture artifacts, ensuring alignment between business priorities, operational execution, and technology enablement.

The Senior Business Architect partners across business and technology teams to optimize value streams, guide investment decisions, and support enterprise-wide transformation through structured analysis, stakeholder engagement, and governance of business architecture practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to develop business architecture artifacts such as capability maps, value streams, and roadmaps
  • Translate business strategy into actionable frameworks that guide investment decisions, operational improvements, and technology alignment
  • Analyze complex business problems to identify architecture-driven solutions
  • Provide architecture input during strategy development, business case creation, and solution design
  • Facilitate cross functional workshops and discussions to drive alignment across business and technology teams
  • Collaborate with enterprise and solution architects to ensure business needs are accurately reflected in technology solutions
  • Support and influence governance processes by promoting adoption of architecture standards, best practices, and reusable artifacts

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Software application development OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Software application development

Preferred:Business process and road mapping; Cross-functional project or strategy development; Enterprise or business architecture practices.

Experience with banking operations, fintech, or digital transformation initiative. Experience with business architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, BIZBOK, BIAN)
