Summary

Job Title: Sr. C++/Linux Developer (Media/OTT/VIDEO)

Location: Dallas, TX (Day 1 onsite)

Duration: 12+ Months

Required Skills:

6+ years of experience in architecture & design, prototyping, software development & implementation plan, code review and unit testing for consumer electronic devices.
Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronics or equivalent field.
Proficient in C, C++/C++11, JavaScript, JSON.
Experience in developing media pipeline stacks.
Experience in the video streaming technologies (DASH, HLS, RTSP, WebRTC, Progressive Download, etc).
Hands-on experience with video codec internals (H.264, HEVC, VP9, or AV1), including coding units, entropy coding, and compression trade-offs
Experience with video transcoder development, including firmware coding, C modeling, and hardware quality tuning
Experience in Digital Rights Management (Widevine/Playready/FairPlay) and Secure Media Pipeline
Strong experience in audio/video formats (H.264, HEVC, mp4, CMAF, MKV, MPEG2-TS, HDR, Dolby Vision, etc)
Experience in Media frameworks such as Gstreamer, FFMPEG
Experience in multi-threaded programming & Inter-process communication.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated, Proactive and good team player.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with audio codecs (AAC, AC3) and audio/video quality metrics such as ViSQOL or PSQM
Exposure to DRM/content-protection concepts in a video pipeline
Experience with SDP and WebRTC signaling/data channel design
Background supporting live broadcast, splicing, or ad-insertion systems
