Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve manufacturing operations at our facility in Moline, Illinois. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with manufacturing processes, process improvement, Lean Manufacturing, production engineering, quality improvement, and troubleshooting.

The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and engineering teams to improve safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and manufacturing cost.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing and production processes.
  • Analyze manufacturing operations to improve productivity, quality, throughput, and cost.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
  • Support assembly, machining, welding, fabrication, and other manufacturing processes.
  • Develop work instructions, process documentation, standard operating procedures, and process controls.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis, PFMEA, process capability studies, and corrective actions.
  • Support production line layouts, workstation design, line balancing, and material flow improvements.
  • Perform time studies and capacity analysis.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and production launch activities.
  • Work with Quality Engineering to resolve manufacturing and product-quality issues.
  • Support tooling, fixtures, equipment, and automation improvements.
  • Analyze production data and manufacturing KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, production teams, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams.
  • Support manufacturing systems including SAP, MES, and other production databases.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide hands-on engineering support on the manufacturing floor.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production systems.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and process capability.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
  • Experience with CAD tools such as Creo, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite in Moline, Illinois.
