Title: Senior PM - Information System Contingency Planning (ISCP) - Remote
Duration: 6 Months

Work Arrangement
•    Remote engagement with required onsite attendance in Springfield, IL during the first week of the project.
•    Remaining duration of the contract may be performed remotely.
 
Employment Requirements
•    Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Job Description:
Position Summary 
•    Our client is seeking an experienced PM for Information System Contingency Planning (ISCP) to support a large-scale contingency planning initiative.
•    This role will be responsible for reviewing existing Information System Contingency Plans (ISCPs) and developing new ISCP documentation for critical applications and systems. 
•    The selected consultant will serve as the primary liaison between business and technical stakeholders, ensuring that contingency plans accurately reflect system recovery requirements, dependencies, recovery procedures, and operational resiliency objectives. 
 
Project Scope 
•    Review and update existing ISCPs (Technical and Non-Technical) 
•    Develop and document new ISCPs (Technical and Non-Technical) 
•    Conduct stakeholder interviews and information-gathering sessions 
•    Validate system recovery requirements and dependencies 
•    Ensure compliance with organizational, security, and regulatory standards 
 
Key Responsibilities 
 
Information System Contingency Planning (ISCP) 
•    Review, analyze, and update existing ISCP documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance. 
•    Develop new ISCPs for critical information systems and applications. 
•    Gather business and technical recovery requirements from system owners, infrastructure teams, security teams, and business stakeholders. 
•    Document recovery procedures, backup strategies, system dependencies, alternate processing capabilities, and recovery objectives. 
•    Maintain standardized, audit-ready contingency planning documentation. 
•    Identify gaps, risks, and inconsistencies within existing plans and recommend corrective actions.  

 
Stakeholder Engagement 
•    Provide a holistic business and technical perspective for contingency planning activities. 
•    Act as the bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
•    Facilitate workshops, interviews, and review sessions to collect and validate contingency planning information. 
•    Translate technical recovery requirements into business-friendly documentation and recommendations. 
•    Ensure contingency planning efforts align with organizational goals and operational resilience requirements.  

 
Risk Assessment & Recovery Readiness 
•    Support Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and risk assessment activities. 
•    Identify critical systems, operational dependencies, and recovery priorities. 
•    Participate in contingency plan testing and recovery validation exercises. 
•    Document findings and recommend improvements to strengthen organizational resilience.  

 
Compliance & Documentation 
•    Ensure all ISCP documentation aligns with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. 
•    Maintain version control and documentation repositories. 
•    Support audit requests and provide documentation as required. 
•    Prepare status updates and reports for project leadership and stakeholders. 
 
Required Qualifications 
•    Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field 
•    Minimum 5 years of experience in Information System Contingency Planning (ISCP), Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Risk Management, Business Architecture, or related disciplines. 
•    Experience developing and maintaining contingency planning documentation within enterprise environments. 
•    Experience conducting risk assessments and Business Impact Analysis (BIA) activities. 
•    Strong experience working with both technical and business stakeholders. 
•    Excellent technical writing, documentation, and communication skills. 
•    Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. 
 
Preferred Qualifications 
•    Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) 
•    Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) 
•    Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) 
•    Disaster Recovery Institute (DRI) Certifications 
•    Experience supporting government or highly regulated environments
