The candidate will support implementation and design services for Active Directory and Deployment Services, identity, and access management, providing deep subject matter expertise across Entra and Intune. The candidate will provide support for Windows-based systems across the enterprises, which spans across on-premises and cloud tenants. Resolves and appropriately completes assigned tasks and change requests and acts as an escalation for support issues. The core infrastructure technology duties include enterprise Microsoft Active Directory, SCCM/MECM, Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Intune, scripting, policy configuration, and top-level support for enterprise-wide initiatives.
Job Description and Duties
- Full-time Onsite in Washington DC. Ideal candidate will cover later shift providing support ending sometime between 5pm and 7pm daily.
- Once every 2-3 months support server infrastructure in a 24x7 on-call escalation capacity as part of a team rotation.
- Provide enterprise-level support for Active Directory and Deployment Services for global initiatives following those through implementation via collaboration with project and support teams.
- Oversee daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
- Serve as escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, provides guidance and direction in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application, or system problems.
- Serves as a subject matter expert in managing Entra ID, SCCM, and Intune including proposing recommendations for architectural improvements, streamlining processes and certificate management, and troubleshooting during outages.
- Will provide technical expertise in driving ad hoc projects including GoogleWorkspace related initiatives, server site reduction, migration of servers on-premises to cloud, Windows Server 2025 image build and STIGs, implementation certificate-based authentication (CBA), and implementing multi-factor authentication (MFA) on applications.
- Install, configure, and maintain Active Directory and third-party software utilities for hardware systems within company operational guidelines.
- Perform provisioning, patching, and day-to-day management of the installed server environment including vulnerability remediation.
- Provide technical expertise and hands-on support preventing service degradations and restoring service during outages.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis and Problem Management for the Windows systems and tools.
- Improve existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation.
- Provide support for new enterprise systems and in support of engineering solutions to address existing issues.
- Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.
- Identify opportunities to innovate, extend, and enhance service delivery everywhere possible including through automation and scripting.
Required Education and Experience:
- Must have extensive knowledge of multi-vendor server operating systems.
- Demonstrated experience in all aspects of enterprise Windows environment operations and maintenance (O&M) and engineering.
- Experience leading troubleshooting calls spanning across multiple teams and using multi-discipline approach.

- Interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Demonstrated experience in a fast tempo ITSM support environment.
Preferred skills and qualifications:
- Experience managing environments of 2000+ servers across multiple field site locations
- Windows Server 2025 experience
- OpenShift suite and hypervisor experience
- IT Service Management services delivery to the US Government experience
- Microsoft Certification(s) including: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Endpoint Administrator Associate, Azure Fundamentals, Azure Administrator Associate, MS365 Certified Administrator Expert.
- AWS/ Azure Cloud Certifications a plus
- Google Certification(s)/ experience with Google Workspace deployment and implementation
- ServiceNow ITSM platform experience
- DISA STIG and CIS Benchmark guidelines for Microsoft Windows servers.
- Any additional professional IT or Project Management certifications.
