10+ years of SAP ALM / EAM (SAP PM) and MRO domain experience
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP ALM / EAM Functional Lead (SAP PM) to lead the functional design and deployment of SAP Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM/EAM) capabilities for AGV-enabled warehouse operations.
This role will support the implementation of SAP-based asset tracking, spare parts management, preventive and corrective maintenance, and service history management, replacing existing Excel and paper-based processes.
The warehouse is operated by a third-party organization with no prior SAP footprint, requiring a hands-on functional leader capable of driving simplified solution design, onsite execution, and post-go-live stabilization.
The solution will be deployed in SAP ECC with design decisions aligned for future integration into the US S/4HANA program.
Mandatory Skills
- 10+ years of hands-on SAP ALM / EAM / SAP PM experience
- Strong expertise in:
- Equipment & Asset Master Data
- Maintenance Orders
- Preventive Maintenance Plans
- Spare Parts / MRO Integration
- Experience working in MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) environments
- Strong hands-on delivery capability as a Functional Lead, beyond solution advisory roles
- Ability and willingness to provide onsite support during training and stabilization
- Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills
- Experience supporting third-party or operational teams with limited SAP exposure
Preferred / Desired Skills

Key Responsibilities
- Functional Design & Solution Ownership
- Serve as the functional lead for assigned warehouse deployments, owning SAP ALM/EAM solution design and delivery.
- Implement the client s standard SAP ALM template, tailored for AGV-intensive warehouse operations.
- Design and optimize a scalable spare parts management model for high-volume, identical AGV fleets, including:
- Spare materials by AGV model
- Safety stock setup
- Reorder level management
- Ensure SAP ECC configuration decisions are forward-compatible with S/4HANA.
- Asset & Maintenance Enablement
- Configure and deploy Preventive and Corrective Maintenance processes using SAP Maintenance Orders.
- Enable SAP-based tracking and management of:
- AGV assets
- Conveyor and related equipment
- Maintenance history
- Service and repair records
- Spare parts consumption linked to work orders
- Delivery & Execution
- Lead end-to-end functional delivery within a compressed deployment timeline, followed by stabilization support.
- Collaborate closely with:
- SAP technical teams
- Integration teams
- Warehouse business stakeholders
- Third-party operators
- Support:
- Functional testing
- Defect resolution
- UAT readiness and execution
- Provide support for standard SAP ALM/EAM reporting and analytics.
- Training & Hypercare Support
Provide onsite functional support during:
- End-user training
- Go-live activities
- Post-go-live stabilization and hypercare
Additional responsibilities include:
- Translating SAP processes into practical operating procedures for non-SAP users
- Serving as the primary functional point of contact during hypercare and stabilization phases
