Job Summary
Value Technology Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake and AWS to design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms. The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of experience in data engineering and a proven track record of delivering cloud-based analytics solutions. This role requires hands-on technical leadership, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with business and IT stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines using Snowflake and AWS services.
- Implement ETL/ELT frameworks following modern data architecture principles such as Data Vault 2.0.
- Build and optimize data ingestion and transformation workflows using AWS S3, Glue, Lambda, and Python.
- Develop complex SQL queries and performance-tuned data models in Snowflake.
- Lead end-to-end data engineering solutions from requirements gathering to production deployment.
- Implement and manage DevSecOps pipelines, CI/CD automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Enforce data quality, security, governance, and compliance standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and code reviews.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and IT teams to deliver reliable analytics solutions in an Agile environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8–10 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (data modeling, performance tuning, security).
- Solid experience with AWS services: S3, Glue, Lambda (Redshift is a plus).
- Advanced SQL and Python programming skills.
- Experience designing batch and streaming pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT architectures and Data Vault 2.0.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models.
