The Office Copilot Front Doors team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with technical leadership to advance Office Copilot solutions and deliver next generation value for users across our commercial and consumer segments. You will lead cross-team partnerships and leverage your experience to invent the future of Copilot for Office. In this role, you will leverage your full-stack development experience and lead architecture, design, development, and delivery of features at scale.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership, drive design, development, testing, and release of services and e2e solutions that enhance user experiences as outlined above to achieve key business objectives.
- Work with engineers, program managers, designers, and partner teams to deliver features with scalable cross product design and architecture.
- Evolve development guidelines, engineering practices & principles for Office e2e client to services development & delivery.
- Design resilient, scalable, and easily maintainable software.
- Lead with an experimental, data driven approach and a focus on driving business outcomes.
- Foster an inclusive culture with an emphasis on respect, integrity, and accountability for outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience building services at scale, applications, libraries, SDKs, and other development platform components.
- Experience in designing and deploying systems and services powered by AI infrastructure, with emphasis on scalability, reliability, and performance in production environments.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience with advanced prompt engineering and evaluation methodologies.
- Experience dealing with ambiguity and understanding key business needs in line with competing priorities and apply the right technology and implementation to the solution.
- Interest in learning new things and new technical domains and comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
- Ability to use AI tooling to reduce cycle time and boost throughput while maintaining Microsoft's strict standards for privacy, security, and compliance.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills with a solid understanding of object-oriented design, coding patterns, testing practices and solutions for large scale technical problems.
