  • Conceive, research, and implement engineering design changes that improve manufacturability and robustness, in coordination with the sustaining engineering team
  • Explore and evaluate new technologies, standards, tools, and devices for integration into future products
  • Guide, mentor, and support the development of junior engineers

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of electrical design experience.
  • Strong background in analog and digital circuit design, including microcontroller, processor, and/or DSP-based designs.
  • Experience with symbol/footprint design, schematic capture, and PCB layout using OrCAD Capture/Allegro PCB Designer or a similar toolset (OrCAD/Allegro will be required).
  • Experience with network/Ethernet designs and common communication interfaces (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART).
  • Experience with hardware diagnostic tools including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and function generators.
  • Ability to research, understand, and apply functional and technical specifications, datasheets, and hardware manuals to electrical designs.

Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with embedded software design (C, assembly, etc.)
  • Experience with circuit simulation and analysis (LTspice, PSpice, etc.)
  • Experience with RTCA DO-160G environmental and electrical qualification or similar aerospace standards
  • FPGA/ASIC design experience (Xilinx FPGAs and toolset will be required)
