Job Title: Power BI Developer (Financials)

Location: Midtown, NY (Hybrid)
Duration: Long term contract

Job Description:

• We are looking for an 12+years experienced Power BI Developer with strong financial domain knowledge to join our team.
• The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in developing interactive dashboards, financial reports, data models, and business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI.
• The candidate should possess strong analytical skills and the ability to work closely with finance and business stakeholders to translate complex financial requirements into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and financial reports.
• Work closely with finance teams and business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
• Develop complex data models, DAX calculations, and Power Query transformations.
• Analyze financial data, including revenue, expenses, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance.
• Integrate data from multiple sources, including SQL databases, Excel, and enterprise systems.
• Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance and usability.
• Implement data security, including Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across financial reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business intelligence solutions.

Required Skills

• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI.
• Strong expertise in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
• Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Expertise in developing executive-level dashboards and KPI reports.
• Experience with Power BI Service, workspace management, and report deployment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in financial services, insurance, or reinsurance domains.
• Knowledge of financial systems and enterprise reporting environments.
• Experience with Azure data services and data warehousing.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
