QA Tester with Selenium

Job Title: QA Tester – SDET / Selenium Tester

Location: Remote

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled QA Tester / Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong hands-on experience in Selenium automation testing, test automation frameworks, and software quality assurance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.

• Build, enhance, and maintain automation testing frameworks.

• Create and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on business requirements.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Develop automation scripts using programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.

• Work with tools such as TestNG, JUnit, Maven, and Cucumber.

• Integrate automated test scripts into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.

• Identify, document, track, and report software defects using defect-tracking tools.

• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to resolve defects.

• Perform API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.

• Analyze test results and prepare detailed test execution reports.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Ensure test automation coverage and continuously improve testing efficiency.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Quality Assurance and software testing.

• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.

• Experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, Python, or JavaScript.

• Experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber.

• Knowledge of manual testing, functional testing, and regression testing.

• Experience with test management and defect-tracking tools such as Jira.

• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and software testing methodologies.

• Experience with Git or other version control systems.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in API testing using Postman or REST Assured.

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

• Experience with Maven or Gradle build tools.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Experience with SQL and database validation.

• Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments.

• Experience with performance testing tools is an added advantage.
