DataBase Developer

Title: Senior Database Developer 
Location: USA Remote with willigness to travel (if required)

Job Summary:
The Database Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining database solutions that support Energy Management System (EMS) platform services. This role involves working with large datasets, optimizing database performance, and ensuring data integrity for mission-critical EMS applications.

Key Responsibilities:
•       Design and implement relational and/or NoSQL database structures for EMS applications. 
•       Develop stored procedures, triggers, and functions to support business logic.
•       Monitor and tune database performance for high availability and scalability. 
•       Implement indexing strategies and query optimization techniques.
•       Integrate EMS platform data with external systems and applications. 
•       Perform data migration and transformation tasks as needed.
•       Ensure database security, backup, and disaster recovery plans are in place. 
•       Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
•       Work closely with application developers, system architects, and EMS engineers. 
•       Prepare technical documentation and maintain version control for database scripts.

Qualifications
•       Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
•       3–5 years of experience in database development and administration. 
•       Strong proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL. 
•       Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and performance tuning. 
•       Familiarity with EMS platforms and energy domain concepts is a plus.
•       Willingness to travel occasionally for site testing, commissioning, and customer support.

Preferred Skills
Knowledge of SCADA/DMS/EMS systems and integration. 
Experience with cloud-based databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS). 
Exposure to Python or Java for database automation.

Additional Requirement:
Travel: Candidate should be willing to travel to client sites or project locations as required for workshops, testing, and deployment activities. Travel will be occasional and based on project needs.
