SAP Industry Product Engineering (Life Sciences) is a global organization focused on building and operating AI-enabled, cloud-native products that address the complex business needs of Life Sciences customers. The team plans, designs, develops, tests, deploys, and maintains high-quality intelligent software solutions, embedding Artificial Intelligence across the product lifecycle. Position title: SAP iXp Intern - Associate Developer
Expected start date to end date: April 2026
Location: Newtown Square Office, PA
Contract Duration: 6 months
Working Hours: 40 hours/week
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Build and deliver software products for the Life Sciences industry on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).
- Design and develop AI-driven applications and agents using SAP AI technologies, including SAP Business AI and SAP Joule.
- Collaborate closely with architects and engineers across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), contributing to design, development, testing, maintenance and quality assurance.
- Demonstrate a strong learning mindset with a willingness to take ownership, assume responsibility, and deliver results.
What You'll bring

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline; a Master's degree in Computer Science is highly preferred.
- Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled, or entry level (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor's, master's or JD/PhD program
- Strong technical proficiency in one or more programming languages or platforms, including Java, Node.js, Python, ABAP, HTML5, and JavaScript.
- Good understanding of RESTful APIs and hands-on experience in their design and development.
- Solid knowledge of Large Language Model (LLM) consumption for building AI-powered applications.
- Familiarity with source control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- Experience in software development using cloud-native technologies across IaaS providers including SAP, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Travel Requirements: willing to travel as needed to support our product development (Max 10-20%)

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 15 - 62(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
