Ellucian Colleague Integrations Developer (100% Remote)

Senior Integration Developer, Student Applications for a contract opportunity in Texas. The desired candidate will have 8+ years of hands-on experience developing enterprise application and data integrations, with strong experience supporting Student Information Systems, financial aid platforms, and other higher education applications.

The Senior Integration Developer will design, build, and maintain integrations across enterprise systems using technologies such as Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), SnapLogic, SSIS, APIs, PL/SQL, and T-SQL. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Ellucian Colleague SIS and Oracle Student Financial Aid, along with the ability to support batch, real-time, and event-driven integrations.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain integrations across SIS, Financial Aid, and other enterprise applications
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, data mappings, and integration designs
• Build batch, real-time, and event-driven integrations using OIC, SnapLogic, SSIS, and other integration technologies
• Develop and maintain Ellucian Colleague integrations supporting reporting, portals, and third-party applications
• Configure OIC adapters including REST, SOAP, Oracle Database, and FTP
• Develop SnapLogic pipelines for bidirectional enterprise data integrations
• Design and support SSIS packages integrating SQL Server, Oracle, flat files, and third-party systems
• Develop and optimize PL/SQL and T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and related database components
• Design, develop, consume, and support APIs used within enterprise integrations
• Implement error handling, logging, monitoring, alerting, and audit capabilities
• Perform unit and regression testing and provide support during UAT
• Maintain technical documentation including API contracts, data flow diagrams, and runbooks
• Partner with Registrar, Student Records, Financial Aid, Bursar, and other functional teams
• Ensure integrations comply with FERPA, Title IV, and institutional data governance requirements
• Mentor junior developers, perform code reviews, and provide technical guidance
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and backlog grooming
• Evaluate new integration technologies and recommend improvements to the enterprise integration environment

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent education and experience may be considered
• 8+ years of hands-on application integration, middleware development, or equivalent enterprise development experience
• Strong experience with Ellucian Colleague SIS, including Web API, Data Management and Integration, and related integration patterns
• Hands-on experience with SnapLogic iPaaS, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and/or Oracle SOA Suite; or similar tools
• Strong experience designing and deploying SSIS packages
• Advanced T-SQL experience, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, complex queries, and performance tuning
• Advanced PL/SQL experience, including packages, procedures, functions, cursors, and exception handling
• Experience developing and consuming APIs
• Knowledge of SQL, Java, C#, .NET, XML, Python, JSON, and/or JavaScript
• Experience with enterprise integration technologies such as OIC, ODI, SnapLogic, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, MuleSoft, Boomi, or Informatica
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills

Preferred Skills:

• Higher education IT experience, particularly supporting student systems and financial aid
• Experience with Ellucian Colleague, Banner, or similar Student Information Systems
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Student Financial Aid
• Experience with Ellucian Ethos Integration and the Ethos Data Model
• Oracle Integration Cloud certification
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Experience with Power BI, SSRS, or similar reporting platforms
• Experience with cloud-native integration patterns and API gateway management
• Knowledge of FERPA, Title IV, HIPAA, and Texas Administrative Code (TAC 202)
