Senior FS REST API Java Springboot AWS

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Westlake, TX that is seeking a Senior FS REST API Java Springboot AWS who brings experience working with application-layer development for web applications.

Responsibilities:
* Participate in identifying and building technologies, practices, and tools needed to build the platform
* Collaborate with diverse groups within the organization, implement the best engineering practices, and promote those across other APS products
* Mentor other team members and collaborate extensively with our offshore development team
* Conduct demos, participate in technical reviews and deliver engineering excellence
* Create robust RESTful APIs and web services, ensuring best practices in performance, security, and usability
* Utilize tools such as Maven/Gradle for build automation and Git for version control

REQUIREMENTS:
* Proficient in distributed system design and implementation (including event-driven and microservice based architectures), and the ability to ensure high-performance, high-reliability operation of large-scale systems
* Proficient Java and/or TypeScript developer with solid foundations in object-oriented programming & design patterns
* Experience with Spring Boot, DropWizard or TypeScript based frameworks and building REST APIs
* Extensive experience developing REST APIs using Java, with a strong emphasis on Spring Boot and related Spring frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring MVC, etc.)
* Knowledge of software development processes, and you practice Agile
* Experience with cloud providers development, preferable AWS (S3, RDS, SQS, SNS, DynamoDb, Lambda)
* Familiarity with various databases, RDS (PostgresQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDb, Cassandra, etc.)
* Understand container & serverless architectures (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Lambda, AWS ECS)
* Proficient with Test Driven and Domain Driven Development (TDD/DDD), including using automated test frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito, Karma or Jasmine)
* Experienced user of one or more Application Lifecycle Management tools (e.g. Jira)
* Experienced with DevOps, and test automation
* Node.JS/Express and Javascript (ES5) experience
* UI development, some exposure to ReactJS or Angular javascript frameworks
* Experience with any of the following programming languages - GO Lang, Python
* Experience creating *Nix scripts using bash, perl etc.
* Proficient in designing and implementing Unix/Linux shell scripts, utilizing tools such as Bash/Shell to automate system tasks and processes

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
