Genesis10 is currently seeking a Major Incident Management (MIM) Analyst for a contract to hire position with a Major Insurance Company located in Omaha, NE. This is a 6 month contract to hire opportunity.
Pay range: $50.00 - $62.00 per hour This role is responsible for managing major IT incidents from identification through resolution. The analyst will act as the central point of communication between technical teams and stakeholders, develop and maintain response plans, and drive post-incident root cause analysis to improve processes and prevent recurrence.
Responsibilities: - Take charge of major incidents from their identification to resolution, ensuring efficient communication, collaboration, and adherence to incident management processes
- Develop and maintain detailed incident response plans, including predefined actions, stakeholder communication strategies, and escalation procedures
- Quickly assess the severity and impact of incidents to determine if they qualify as "major incidents" and require immediate attention
- Act as the central point of contact for all parties involved, including technical teams, stakeholders, and management, providing timely and accurate updates
- Work on post-incident analysis to identify the root causes and contributing factors of major incidents and suggest improvements to prevent recurrence
- Regularly review and update major incident processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Maintain incident records, documenting all actions taken during incident response for analysis and reporting purposes
Requirements: - Minimum for two (4) years college/university level education or equivalent work experience
- Understanding of ITIL frameworks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating efforts among diverse teams
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to handle high-pressure situations effectively
- Proficiency in using incident management tools and software
- An understanding of various IT systems, networks, and infrastructure
Desired skills: - Certifications like ITIL, CompTIA A , or CompTIA Security
- Experience working in ServiceNow
- Experience working in Confluence
